CD144012 - 1/144 C-130H/J "Guard Herks"

Recommended Posts

CD144012 will be a 1/144 scale set dedicated to Air National Guard C-130H/J Hercules. It will basically be a scaled-down version of the 1/72 scale set (CD72062) with the addition of a few C-130J options.

While not a Guard unit, the 302 Airlift Wing, Peterson AFB, CO is a Reserve unit that is heavy into the Fire Suppression mission.   Always wanted someone to do up these markings.   Any chance you might sneak these in Kursad?

According to this article, the 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota ANG is now flying C-130H with Collins Aerospace 8 blade props.  And another link showing a front view.

This earlier article says the 418th Test Squadron tested H-S NP2000 propsCK Models, OzMods, and Retrowings all offer 8 blade NP2000 props in 1/144 scale for the E-2D Hawkeye, 2 per set, so two sets would be required for a Herk.
