lavony
Hi How accurate is the airfix 1/144 boeing 707-436? Does it need the nose correction , like the minicraft? Thanks Yossi
aircal62
I am not a 707 expert, however I personally like the shapes of the Airfix 707-430 over the Minicraft. One thing I hate about the Minicraft kit are the engine pylons. On the 707 aircraft, the pylons extend slightly forward of the wing leading edge and wrap around the leading edge and over the top of the wing. Minicraft missed this and got creative. Engine wise I like the Minicraft engines better than the Airfix, but I would purchase some aftermarket RR engines. Remember the Airfix kit is over 50 years old, and molding technology has advanced a great deal, but the shapes to me are good. You could also purchase aftermarket PW engines to make a 707-320B/A. The Minicraft 707-320C or VC-137C comes with the correct late wing.
