Whiskey
Anyone in or around the Austin, Texas area that can help show me the finer points of airbrushing? Maybe know of a group or place that does a night of model building? I ask because basically, well I suck at airbrushing. Still haven’t got the results I am trying for and I’m more of a “person to person” type of student than watching videos.
Slartibartfast
Dr. Yo on starshipmodeler.net lives in the Austin area, he might be able to point you in the proper direction. The Repliscale blog owner used to live in Austin, he is another resource to tap. Edited April 28, 2018 by Slartibartfast

Whiskey
11 hours ago, Joel_W said: What seems to be your issues air brushing? Joel Right amount of paint/ thinner ratio, judging the right distance to maintain the brush from the plastic, regulating the air pressure, regulating the airflow and paint out of the brush, getting the right effect (i.e. know how to put different shades of paint on places), etc. I suppose you could say I can't even figure out the basics. I suppose I can learn by watching someone in person demonstrating it and being able to have them walk me through when it comes to stuff like this, hence why I asked.
