Something for KursadA from Caracal Models considering the number of military operators of the type.

Great news!  You will definitely see a Caracal decal sheet (or two) with interesting markings for this kit when it is released. I already had a 1/72 sheet in development for the old Airfix kit...

Great news since for some silly reason I really like the Islander. Even better that I see an IAF scheme there too. I have the Airfix kit but since I don't build 1/72nd I will probably get rid of it.

I think the Philippine Air Force flew these too.

indeed... when my dad was first commissioned as a pilot for the Philippine Air Force, the Islander was his first active duty airplane... he logged almost 1,500 hours on the airplane before he was transferred to the 15th Strike Wing, flying first the AT-28D and eventually becoming one of the first locally-trained pilots for the OV-10A Bronco when the ex-USAF planes first arrived in 1992...

dad's Islander in the PAF was also the very first airplane I ever ridden on...

The initial relase of the Airix kit included PhAF decals. The box art even featured that aircraft.

that's actually the Philippine Navy aircraft, the PAF version has a different and simpler scheme

BN-2A-6 Defender (c/n 235) in Singapore civil registration 9V-BDT was sent to Singapore for a demonstration in 1971 to promote the aircraft to the Singapore Air Defence Command (SADC).
