This is exciting on so many levels. First, I would love to build a Yak-130, perhaps more than one. Second, confirmation that Zvezda is now venturing into 1/48th scale jets - fantastic news. If their newer 1/72nd scale jets and the entire lineup of 1/48th scale WWII prop kits are anything to go by, we can expect some really high quality kits in future.

Model should be available on February 2019.

OK! Understood, Solo. I think in my country (in Russia) this model will be cheaper. ;)

That is one of the things about Zvezda that have been great for me: I go to Russia about once a year and the only problem is always that I never have enough space in my suitcase for more than one kit. Zvezda kits are really very cheap there - and you can find them in almost any toy shop, not only specialist hobby shops. I have most of their 1/48th scale WWII aircraft and they have all been a pleasure to build. La-5FN on the bench right now in the painting stage. The fact that they are now releasing their first 1/48th scale jet is very exciting - I really hope it is a huge success so they can follow it with more.

Yes, you are right.   But I heard that this model had some mistakes at the 3d design stage.

If true, that would be a shame. I'll keep my eyes open for the detailed reviews once it is released.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see a side-by-side comparison with the Kitty Hawk kit. I am rooting for Zvezda - as I said for the very selfish reason that I want to see them doing more 1/48th scale jets (but at the same time, I hope they also continue their 1/48th scale WWII aircraft range). Is Begemot doing the decals for the Zvezda Yak-130?

Yes, at first in box decal - our job- 5 marking scheme, 3 different stencil sets. In 2019 we will release aftermarket decal - all possible markings with adoptation for Zvezda and KH models.

Now you can see that there are no rivet lines. IMHO - it makes the model poorer.

Here is a review, in Russian though. Still, very good quality so comments are not that necessary.
