Canadian Mil 17 V5s in Afghanistan Question

Recommended Posts

I'm presently looking at doing a Canadian Mil 17 V5 as leased for use in Afghanistan using the Neomega conversion for the Hobbyboss Mil8/17 kit in 1/72.  i have the kit and conversion and am awaiting the decals ordered from an aftermarket company.  i note in photos that the Mil's carried door machine guns on both sides in the sliding doors, including visible hoses to eject the ammo casings but I cannot find out what type of guns were fitted. I assume they are Canadian C6 general purpose machine guns but if anyone knows for sure please chime in. Also does anyone know a source for such guns in 1/72? Thanks

Cheers

I suppose the C6 is very similar to the M240, used by the US Army? If that´s the case, the Dragon Humvee kit has some nice M240s in there, I´d use them.
