Don
Hello all, As the title alludes too, I am at the painting stage of my little 1/72 Airfix Harrier Gr.1 circa 1970. The Airfix plans call for Humbrol 163 (Dark green), 164 (Dark Sea Grey) upper camouflage with a 166 (Light Aircraft Grey) lower. I think Tamiya matches the green with XF-81 and the upper grey with XF-54 (may need to lighten both a tad). But I can't find a Tamiya match for the lower grey (166). Does anyone know a mix ratio for Tamiya paints to achieve the Light Aircraft Grey lower camouflage color? I have an Airfix Gr.3 on the way and I am assuming the wrap around green and grey camouflage is the same 163 and 164 colors? Thanks all! Regards, Don
barkin mad
Light Aircraft Grey is not a million miles from FS36440. Tamiya has XF55. Maybe a reasonable match?. Prob best try it out before committing to your Harrier though. & yes colours are same green & grey for the GR.3 ---------------------
Don
Thank you! I will start with XF55 and go from there. Regards, Don
