LF: Mark 7 nuke from Monogram 1/48 F-84F Thunderstreak - found it!

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to interview a few Dutch Streak pilots about the weaponry of the F84F, and for that reason I am looking for the Mark 7 nuke from Monogram 1/48 F-84F Thunderstreak (plus the pylon). I believe it was only included in issue 85-5437. I can do some decal design or casting in return. Thanks in advance!

   I have kit 5432. Is the part not in that kit also?

As far as I know, 5432 does not contain the nuke, instead it has two conventional  bombs. But thanks for your response anyway!

ScaleMates is a good reference for what the kit contents and box look like:

Monogram kit number 5437, 1:48th scale F-84F Thunderstreak ------> https://www.scalemates.com/kits/192484-monogram-85-5437-republic-f-84f

The original issue box art depicted an F-84F in overall NMF.  This kit provided parts for fuel tanks and the Mk.7 shape with special pylon to carry the weapon.

Monogram kit number 5432, 1:48th scale F-84F Thunderstreak ------> https://www.scalemates.com/kits/151917-monogram-5432-f-84f-thunderstreak

The original issue box art depicted an F-84F in camouflage (SEA pattern/scheme).  This kit provided optional parts for fuel tanks and 1000 pound GP bombs with conical fin assemblies.

I can only add one thing: 5437 provides only three tanks: one inboard and two outboard tanks. The box shows two inboard tanks amd two outboard tanks. I think many modelers did not want to use the nuke, and were disappointed that the kit did not have two inboard tanks.
