Neomega Resin
Hi. Just in case you want to make that Walrus model even more lovely! New in from Vector Resin. http://www.neomega-resin.com/supermarine-walrus-engine-set-977-p.asp
dogsbody
Does it come with proper painting instructions? Chris

It has assembly instructions- see below - but no painting guide. However, I do have photos of the real Walrus and the engine. Gordon

Gordon So do I, but how many others who do not have good photos of a Bristol Pegasus engine might paint this to look like an American-built engine. I see that mistake quite often on modelling forums. It wouldn't have taken much effort for Vector/Neomega to have included a painting guide. Chris
Neomega Resin
Yea, point taken! Gordon.
seawinder
The Airfix kit has color call-outs for the engine, and there are any number of online photos of the Bristol Pegasus.
dogsbody
As a general rule, I don't follow kit instructions when painting engines, especially Bristol engines. Most kits makers get it wrong. Chris
seawinder
It looks to me as though Airfix got it pretty much correct.

dogsbody
Oh yeah! I was going to post this earlier. It's probably one of the best pictures I've seen of a Walrus's Peggy engine. It's from the IWM. Chris
Neomega Resin
Lovely! BTW - anyone have any shots of the catapult? I've seen most on the interweb, but someone may have something I've missed. It needs to the the Mactaggart Scott ritatable one, not the capital ship versions though. Tx! G
