1:48 Lockheed Martin F35 -B 617Sqn RAF

Recommended Posts

I wanted to complete this build in time for the arrival of the first F35b in the UK. Boy I cut it close. This build was designed to show off the complex internal bay systems and array of weaponry it could carry. Using the KARL cockpit and weapons bay sets really enhanced the detail, along with the dream hobby engine nozzle and eduard PE set for the lift fan and brimstone missiles.

All in all I enjoyed the build but need to source a new canopy as I am not totally happy with the finish.

Awesome!  I love seeing the F-35 with bombs under the wings!  What pylon did you use for the 2x GBU-38s?  It looks like an interesting arrangement.

Fantastic details and brilliant execution.
You said you rushed to finish but it I don't see any compromises.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice work with impressive detail

Question: How did the KASL items fit? Did the kit require much surgery? They look amazing in detail.

I really hate the F-35 but it’s hard to hate this build. Amazing what hanging some ordnance on the wings will do!

Fantastic work!!

Awesome! This is the Kitty Hawk kit, correct? How did you like the build? Many have found it very frustrating. Not sure how much the KASL AM helped in that department.
