habu2
Note the Roden kit is the B-36B, with six turning and zero burning. The box art doesn't show the outer wing(s) so it may not be obvious this (B) version does not have the four podded J47 turbojet engines. I don't know if Kursad's sheet will include marking for a B model, so we may have to wait and see if Roden releases a D/F/G/H/J variant.

I have no doubt it’ll be modular to put out as many variants as possible. Start with the least interesting version first and go from there.
Dutch
If this kit is like other Roden or AModel kits, the extra parts may be included in all the boxings. Just a thought. Edited June 29, 2020 by Dutch
TomTheCat
The Roden kit is up for pre-order at Hobby Search here Pre-order price 7565 Yen (~ US$ 73), expected release "after October". HS have pictures of two decal options, both B-36Bs.
Charlie D.
Looks interesting! Considering the price and I have each of the Hobbycraft releases in the stash (and they’re already paid for) I’m going to wait till the reviews come out and how much of an improvement it is over the HC kit before jumping in! Spruemeister
If I’m seeing thing right, Kitlinx is showing pre orders available for the 1/144 B-36B kit as ROD347, and another pre order for ROD737 which is a 1/72 B-36B. Are we we getting a new tool 1/72 Peacemaker too? Rick L.

Dutch
Kursad, Any update on the B-36 decals? K/r, Dutch
KursadA
Almost done, I only have to figure out how to lay out the multiple sheets to minimize the cost. Let's wait until we see what the kit decals look like.
Dutch
Kursad, wait! Multiple B-36 decals? K/r, Dutch
KursadA
No - it is a multiple-sheet set, much like the 1/72 scale B-52. B-1 and many other items in my line-up. All those markings and wing walkways take a lot of space.

Dutch
I just finished watching "Strategic Air Command" with the missus. I told her that while I could probably do a good rendition of LtCol "Dutch" Holland, she is waaaaay better looking than June Allyson. How about it Kursad, any news on the B-36 sheet? KursadA
Still in the pipeline, sorry - I am pretty busy with a few complex sheets such as the C-130, P-3 and B-47 that will all be out in the Feb to April timeframe.
viking73
This is good news. Hopefully by then Roden will have released another boxing of the later model B-36 with the jet pods. -Derek

Price is shown to be $69.24 Check it out here: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10780721 Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA
Cameron Lynch
The new Roden 1/144 B-36D with the outboard jet pods is available on that popular auction site. Very keen. I need a 1/144 Peacemaker to go with my 1/72 and 1/48 examples. Of the 3 it is the only one I have room in the case to display.

Dave Williams
This sheet is badly needed. Just got the Roden D/F/H/J kit, and the kit decals are a dumpster fire. Many of the squadron insignia and striped tail tip and nose gear door decals are badly out of register and not detailed at all.
Spruemeister
The B kit decals are just as bad. Poor definition and the colors are way off. Rick L.
KursadA
The B-36 decals are mostly done and will be going to the printers soon - I will start posting profiles in the next couple of weeks.
