Ryan Hothersall
The 1:72 Condor kit of the MiG-25 built as an Azeri Air force MiG-25P, one of the various MiG-25P/PD etc aircraft inherited by Azerbaijan after the break up of the Soviet Union. Bit of a rough kit this one as mine some of the parts that make up the rear fuselage were a bit warped, so many large gaps needed filling. The exhaust parts were not a good fit either. Used metal undercarriage legs from SAC as the kit legs did not look strong enough to support the weight of the model. Even in 1:72, the MiG-25 is big and needs a big chunk of something heavy in the radome to stop it being a tail sitter. Overall Model Master 1730 grey. Decals are from Linden Hill Decals. Sheet No LHD72021 Post Soviet Air Forces Series: Azerbaijan. No issues with these decals, but since they are multi layer decals, I took my time letting the decals dry thoroughly before putting another gloss coat over the decals before putting the next layer on, as I did not want the decal underneath to move.
