mongo
How much, if any, difference is there between the exhaust nozzles on a MiG 25 RB and a PD? Mongo
Petarvu
Significant. Different length and petals.... P
MoFo
A lot. The PD (and other fighter derivatives) is short - they end pretty much in line with the back of the rudders - with a smooth aft-end: The RB (and other recce/bomber derivatives) is long - they extend well past the back of the rudders - and have raised 'teeth' around the edge: In particular, note the length of the turkey feathers in relation to the (sort of) I-shaped fairing between the engines. It's the same on both types, so gives a good idea of how much longer the long exhausts are. It's also worth noting that the green, inner petals are different on the two engines as well. Rocky
This confirms my suspicion that the exhausts on the old 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit are too long and need to be cut back or replaced.
