aircommando130
Tomorrow is the 49th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 to the moon landing! My how time goes by. I was standing on the beach and watched it go. My dad worked on LM-5...the decent stage is still sitting there! Need to get going on my 72nd scale Saturn V now that there are aftermarket parts to make it better!

K2Pete
Forty ... Nine ... years ....... there's NO WAY that much time has gone by!! Ten years ago, I got into building scale models and my interest in the US Space program was rejuvenated. With all the info available online, I've learned more about this incredible achievement by the USA than I did in all the years prior. I still have LIFE magazines, and others, from back then and am fascinated by the doubters ... those that think, and think they can prove, that it was all faked. I hope to have a Group Build next year to celebrate this series of events! ... whether on the Main Page or right here on this forum ... Pete
