phantom
Well, seeing as I am one of the moderators I had better build a couple. This is a 1/32 Huey gun ship which comes with (mostly not bad) Canadian decals. I think I will use after market numbers to portray one of these old birds that I played with back in the 80s. Might keep it simple with modifactions. Perhaps make a couple stretchers for the back, but that will be about it.
phantom
The base paint. Right now it dries as I have to fix the clothes dryer. Hopefully someone in town has the parts in stock to finish the job
Don
I didn't know the Huey's had clothes dryers in them...LOL! I like the Canadian SAR yellow. It will really make this kit pop. Nice start... good luck with the dryer. Regards.
phantom
Dryer needs parts so , back to the model.........Forgot how simple these models are. The floor fit is not great but its being built closed. No problem.
Kurt H.
Quick progress, even for you. Looks good so far.
phantom
The port door is on, and like many old Revell kits.....IT moves!!!! Starboard one is going to have to puttied shut. Gaps are massive.
airmechaja
They're massive on the real ones.
john53
Love that color! Whenever I built 32 coupes I always preferred canary yellow. I think I built this in the 70s as a Vietnam gunship, that quilted interior looks real familiar.Love your engine detail! Looking like a most excellent slick.---John Edited July 21, 2018 by john53 BAD grammar
phantom
Taking a couple days off work, so after the yard work and hopefully getting the parts for the clothes dryer I get get back to it.
K2Pete
I would love to you do a video of your build ... to us it'll look like a Time-Lapse, but ... it'll be real time. Man phantom, you're quick! ... and that Engine DOES look good! Pete
JesusNut
Looking great phantom! What colors did you use on the engine?
phantom
Well, the starboard side is a putty hog. Port is doing better.
phantom
Wow, took all of two minutes to put the rest of the parts on. ....So I painted it.
