Stefan buysse
Hi, I voted a while ago. My build(s) will be a top cover Spitfire Mk VII and/or a Typhoon, in 1/48. I really like your General Gavin quote, nspreitler. Cheers, Stefan.

I read General Gavin's autobiography around 1986-87, possibly before you were born. :-) I'm 100% certain that he would think very highly of you guys Cheers, Stefan. I certainly enjoy doing what I do, and certainly look up to those who came before. My grandfather was in the 511th PIR, in the 11th Airborne Division in the Pacific. Hi, Since we'll be doing a D-Day to VE-Day Group Build in 2019, maybe we can do one for VJ-day in 2020? Cheers, Stefan.

ChesshireCat
I think I'LL build the Asuka Late Fay, but which one is up in the air. Gary
nspreitler
The D-Day to VE Day GB is on the calendar starting January 1st and going until July 1st. Anything that participated on the on the western front from D-Day to the end of the war is permitted.
ChesshireCat
Am I understanding this correctly, that the build has extended itself to May 8th 1945? If so, that may change things. Gary

eraucubsfan
I would be interested in doing another C-47. Here is mine from a few years ago. Unfortunately this model did not survive a move recently.
CorsairMan
I have a Tamiya razorback that I’d love to do. I’m in.
martin_sam_2000
So I already had a Fw-190a, a Fw-190d, a Ta-152 and an He-162 I had lined up to build next. I will check dates for my schemes, but some or all of these may be my contribution to this GB. The only scheme I am worries about is the “A” model, I think it was an early 1944 scheme and may have been shot down before D-day. Sean
nspreitler
This is on the calendar for a 1 Jan start. It should be good. Lots of options for aircraft, vehicles, ships, figures, etc. I am definitely building the Trumpeter C-47 to start, and if that goes quickly I'll have couple more. Steve N
Intriguing. I've been considering building the B-26 Marauder "Flak Bait" in full invasion stripes for the 2019 IPMS Nationals, which are also having a D-Day Anniversary theme category. SN
nspreitler
3 weeks until the D-Day to VE Day Group Build. Lots of options, Spitfires, Mustangs, B-17s, C-47s, Shermans, Tigers, landing craft, figures, dioramas, etc. Hope to see a lot of participation.

Ichitoe
Looking forward to the GB! Torn between a T-bolt or Typhoon for this GB. Maybe I should just do both! Edited December 29, 2018 by Ichitoe
