Working on RF-5A Freedom Fighter

First some words about the airplane model....

   The model RF-5A provided from Classic Airframes in scale 1/48. The ejection seat of the kit΄s cockpit is replaced with ones from Aires detail set Mk7 GQ for F-104 and converted in type Mk7 HRQ. The photo-bay includes four cameras KS-92A, hydraulic-bay and gyro position on the top of the fuselage, two engines J.85.GE.13 and the buck removal part of the engine΄s spindle with two bedstead, were scratch-build. The model is painted in “SEA” camo, using colors provided by the Model Master and it finished with extensive weathering. The model represents a Northrop RF-5A (349 squadron) in Hellenic Air Force duty.

  The ground support equipments like an A/M-32A (Power Supply Unit) provided from Hasegawa and MA-1A (Start cart) from CMK. The two engine΄s bedstead, fire-extinguisher, tool-boxes, books (Technical Orders), two ladders and one pail were scratch-build. The ground technical personnel provided from Hasegawa, ICM, Black Army Modells and Aerobonus sets.
