Our Names

Recommended Posts

Not sure why but I surely wish everyone would sign their name at the end of each post or comment; justs makes everything so much more friendly and personal.

You posted the same topic in October ... and I just don't understand why ... what I mean is, there's no guarantee we'd use our real names anyway.

Sorry for re-posting - sometime I forget.

I know there are lots of Peter's, John's, Sam's, Harry's and the list goes on. But when responding to a thread and posting, using your name is a lot more friendly. If I am responding to a comment by let's say Joel, the odds of there being more then one Joel I am responding to is small. But if that should be the reason, then just use Joel_W as an example (my brother of course). I feel a bit silly responding:

Hi mrplastic ...

Just my two cents worth

Peter

If I can interject...sometimes real names are just boring 🙂

Plus a lot of the user names here have a lot of personal or professional (or both!) significance.

Me...I'm really boring and my user name quite simply tells you as it is 🙂

Internet handles are a lot like aircrew call signs - except you get to choose them yourself.

Because I am a Cop and don't want to use MY real name.

HOLMES is quite appropriate for ME.  .... Sherlock HOLMES...Detective ..   :cop:

I think I have seen this thread on another forum too.
