Aigore
Sorry for been away a while, finished up a secret project...you´ll get to see in time 😄 For now however I had a twitter vote on what to do next and the winner was the Tammy Me-262...thing is tho that I have to finish it this month to compete with it in the first weekend of September when "Art in Miniature" starts here in Gothenburg, it´s one of the three largest model shows in Sweden together with 08-Open in Stockholm and C-4 Open in Malmö. So I got down to business.... The boxart... and it was filled with nice looking lastic bags with parts...5 sprues, a clear sprue and a noseweight molded into a part (brilliant Tammy!) I Started with the IP and put lead wires in it... And stuck some parts onto toopicks per usual 😄 Next is some priming but I´ll leave that until tomorrow. CHeers! jester292
Great little kit. You’ll make a winner out of it easily! Looking forward to watching your magic. Are the decals usable? I’ve had mixed results with Tamiya decals. Watching with interest!

Aigore
Oki, second update... Done some rough painting and clear coated stuff... The fuselage halfs and inside of the wings were painted in Alclad white aluminium. As were the bulkheads.. I primed the cockpit in white and painted with XF-63 German grey. Areally dark picture of the IP where I´ve actually painted black in the instrument faces....Thought I´d try the decals and see how they work out. And all the cords were painted in yellow. Well that´s it for today...tomorrow some weathering of the cockpit 😄 Cheers!
Mr.Happy
Aigore, She looking good. Hopefully it should be a low stress build. I’m looking forward to your next update on the pit🤓 Great job, Mr.Happy (In name only)

Aigore
Todays update... I put down a dark wash on the alu.... The pit... And fuselage... I think the instrument face decals works better than anticipated...bit of wash and clear coats on top and it´ll look great. I put the belt decal on a piece of aluminium foil to give it some thickness. It´ll look passable 😄 Cheers!

Aigore
All about the cockpit today... THe pit detail painted, weathered and flat coated. Then I cut out the belts from the foil... Glued it in to the seat...put down a wash. Then I put it all together adn flat coated and drybrushed the harness....still looks a it wet after I added pigments. Added the bulkheads and then it clicked into place in the fuselage with tamyia precision. Cheers!
Joel_W
Janne, Holy smokes!! A full contest build in less then 30 days. Should prove to be very interesting. The Pit really came out looking quite good, especially the IP. Gotta be honest with my buddy as I'm not sold on the Seatbelts and harness concept. When viewed it looks just too flat with no real definition of depth. How will the judges interpret that finish concept? Joel

Joel Thanx ol' mate 😄 I'm not thrilled by the belts either but they look better than just the decals at least... doubt the judges would fine me many points if the rest looks good but we shall see 😄
Doppelgänger
Well, it doesn't feel as a true Janne build if it's not full of surgery cuts and loads of resin alternatives on it.

Aigore
A lovely rainy weekend! Lot´s of me time 😛 The next little forrest of parts...now it´s the undercarriage and the guns. Primed in black The struts are painted in RLM 02...or RLM grey as Tamyia calls it, can´t they just use proper color codes, please? The guns assembled... Dry fitted to the nose weight part. The landing gears are done... Put in the nose wheel in the noseweight... Glued on the guns... Glued in the whole assembly into the fuselage half. Added some extra weight, aparently the tammy weight was on the light side...b etter be sure then 😄 And then I glued the fuselage halfs together...a bit of convincing was needed, the fit is really good but the parts were a bit warped. Cheers!
Joel_W
Janne, not only are you still detailing as needed, but it sure seems like record breaking time. Nice effort on the landing gear as well as the gun bay. Joel

Aigore
Spent the afternoon puttying stuff... the fuselage needed a bit of putty. Not the wings though, the fit perfectly. Did the exhausts and the intakes... THings awaiting the putty to cure so I can sand and start put things together 😄 Cheers!

Joel_W
Janne, Looks great, as you work is up to your usual high standards. I'm still amazed at how fast you're going through this build. Following builds like yours and my brother is keeping my aircraft modeling Mojo up as I'm planning on building a PBY-5A after the Lotus Type 72E crosses the finish line, but compared to you, I work at a true snail's pace.
