Kinus
I would like to add to my Tamiya´s 1/32 F-4 Phantom the missing rivets, so I am looking for a 1/32 drawing for reference. Which is the best drawing available for this jet? A 1/48 drawing could be a good option. I would appreciate your help.
tony.t
Hello Kinus. The exterior rivets on an F-4 are flush and wouldn't be noticeable even in 1/32 (unless replacements, in which case they might appear as tiny silver dots for a short while). I think an F-4 with divots in it wouldn't look right. The aircraft is, however, festooned with fasteners with Phillips type heads and which also fit flush. These are particularly visible on the fuselage flanks. Close-up photos are the best reference. Nobody has yet devised a tool to replicate these. Incaroad
Jumpei Temma is putting together some of the best drawings for the F-4 I've ever seen, including fastener lines and the like.http://www.geocities.jp/yoyuso/f4/f4-1.html
