Very impressive work all around, especially on the figures !!

Why is a F/A-18 Plane Captain (VFA-192) chaining down a Tomcat ?  😁 Just kidding.

Steve

He who "breaks" the chain puts the chain back on. 😀

BTW, the First Class Troubleshooter is just looking at what a real airplane (not a plastic lawn dart) looks like.😀😀

I just removed the photo-etch seatbelt and tried to build it by using rubber sheet.
The pilot is borrowed from my another F/A-18 so the seatbelt doesn't fit fit to the seat.

What are you using to carve them out, a scriber tool?

Zach,

Judging by the different location on the mounting pin on top of the unmodified strake, I think Harry actually made a cut along the panel line aft of the NACA vent intake in order to easily hollow it out from either the front or back side of it, to then replace the whole aft portion of the strake back again. At least that's how I did it with mine.

Cheers,

Onigiri

You should do a step-by-step on how you painted these engines, they are some of the best I've ever seen!!

If I might ask, what techniques are you using to weather? Are the tonal variations in the general finish due to the weathering or were they a product of whatever method you used when applying the overall colors (pre-shading or some such technique)? The subtlety of the weathering is SO good. Just some hints as to how you do it for those of us that struggle with that part of their builds?
