Slartibartfast
How does this slat set compare with the Cutting Edge set? Edited November 10, 2018 by Slartibartfast
ghatherly
1 hour ago, Slartibartfast said: How does this slat set compare with the Cutting Edge set? First of all they are the correct shape and are accurate as to panel lines, details, and slat mechanism. They were designed using the latest in 3d modeling processes. the old CE are to small from shrinkage, and have completely wrong details. A search of the internet will bring up the issues with the CE and you can find out about our sets over on Largescaleplanes.com in our forum and the build forums. The CE's were hand tooled and looking at the two set is like comparing a 25 year old car to a 2018 model. Wingman's set are copies of the CE set with an attempt to correct the wrong details but fall short of accomplishing the task. hope this helps
Slartibartfast
How does your set address reson shrinkage? Provide a warning not to store in a cool place?
ghatherly
We use molds that are freshly made from the pattern and resin that does not shrink.
