Ben Brown
Has anyone tried any decals produced by the above companies? They have some interesting subjects. Thanks, Ben
janman
I've used Shunko's decals (for Finnish driver's rally cars) and in fact have several sheets from them. Very nicely printed and a pleasure to use.
Ben Brown
Thanks for the information! I’m new to car modeling so I haven’t learned which decal manufacturers are good and which ones are not so good. Cheers! Ben
janman
The Japanese manufacturers (Studio 27 and Shunko for instance) have a good reputation and a very wide selection. They are finely printed and go on well. I haven't tried Reneissance's or Reji's decals although they have some rally sheets I'll eventually need. These two have some interesting stuff too although for some reason their reputation isn't on par with the Japanese (just like in injection models generally!) But even the Japanese make mistakes on their sheets. For example the Studio 27 "Pirelli" Lancia Stratos sheet I used on my model had several mistakes that I had to correct. Finely made otherwise. Ben Brown
I was going to try Renaissance’s Wyler-Gulf 917 decals if I screwed up the Fujimi kit decals. Fortunately, so far, so good!😀 Ben
