Bill Staudt
Just starting this build of a Block 30 F-16C of the Springfield OH ANG. I'll be using the Hasegawa F-16CJ Block 50 kit as it has the parts to do a block 30 airframe. Decals will be Fox One's Vipers on Guard. First up is a little work on the pilot and cockpit before painting. Edited August 29, 2018 by Bill Staudt

Draggie748
Bill, Check that the decals are the correct size. My sheet had a lot of the aircraft numbers for the refuelling markings in 1/48th scale on the 1/72nd sheet. There was a small replacement sheet for that aircraft as my Panthers were also in 1/48th scale not 1/72nd. HTH Phil Hastie Canberra Australia
RKic
I like the simple but very effective approach you took to the cockpit. I was getting all bent out of shape trying to figure out how to replace the lack-luster seat, but putting the pilot in it, and painting him as sharply as you did, is probably the best solution. Thanks for the inspiration.
Bill Staudt
Thanks!! Here is a small update, intake and fuselage construction:
jefropas
I miss watching the Springfield guys ripping it up...nice build so far! Jeff
Bill Staudt
Back at it. Took a break to participate in the Monogram-Revell Group Build. Experimenting with Future and food coloring to try to simulate the iridescent gold canopy.

Bill Staudt
The decals and flat coat are on. I wanted to check how the Future + food coloring experiment looked on the canopy. I'm pretty pleased. It's subtle, but there.

I can’t believe the panel lines under the cockpit. No 1305 panel??? WTH? Not your fault just really bad panel lines on the kit. I’d expect more from Hasegawa. Keep up the great work. Falconxlvi
The canopy tint looks pretty good - it almost looks like you got a gradient front to back
jefropas
Great project! I have the same exact one on the books...although you are considerably closer to being finished! Jeff
