Very good.  I could never figure out how to do that freehand belly colour without getting too much overspray.

Thanx 😄

the trick is to take it slow and then use the base colours to fix any overspray.

thin colour mixtures and low pressure.

Ok, yet another update :D

First I made a new optic sight from a piece of acetate.

On with the windscreen.

Made handles for the canopy from lead wire.

And glued it in place.

Scratched a whip antennae with a base, painted it black and glued it on aproximately the right spot :P

IMG_4231_zpsaiqgwhzh.jpg

with the antennaes in place I painted all the navigation and positionlights.

Sweet as bro.  I love dirty aircraft and the filthy exhaust stains on Skyraiders has always caught my eye.

Thanx Thommo 😄

Weathering the stores...

Clear canvas, all stores are detail painted and gloss coated.

IMG_4245_zpstgtcfpwl.jpg

Making runny oilspill on the drop tank. First some drops of wash in nice places.

IMG_4246_zpsy4aqt1ay.jpg

Then I shot air at high preassure at an angle to make the drops spread.

IMG_4247_zpsvg9lewd3.jpg

I repeated this process until I was happy with spreading spill.

And finished off with pigments.

IMG_4251_zpso1hywimp.jpg

the bombs and pods got a pigment treatment and then a flat coat.

IMG_4257_zpsl6hnnjvy.jpg

Glued the pylons in place...

IMG_4258_zpsjidg66rr.jpg

And on with the ordonance

IMG_4259_zpsqvj307ja.jpg

Almost done now....
Missing brass gun barrels and pitot tube and static dischargers only, hopeflly Hannant´s will deliver fast on the brass and I´m pondering on the droopy dischargers.

IMG_4261_zpscn1uossc.jpg

Here is the only thing gnarling at me...the damaged prop decal on the lower left and if the weathering is plausble...any thoughts on this?

Giving how beat up these planes looked, I'd say the weathering looks perfect! As for the prop decals, I would leave it as is. It ties in to the weathering quite well. I can't wait to see what your next masterpiece is!

Thanx caudleryan 😄

I'll heed your advice and leave the prop as is...

I´m not entirely sure what I had done to the kit before this picture... it was in the camera so I pop it in here...still waiting for gun barrels and pitottube to arrive from hannant´s
