Dutch
I am looking to build a 1/48 Beechcraft C-90 King Air / T-44A Pegasus / U-21 Ute kit. What is available? I have searched, and am only aware of the Red Bear Resins B200 Super King Air resin kit, but am afraid that it would require major modifications to convert to a T-44A. I would be amenable to a vacuformed kit. I am aware of the RVHP 1/72 T-44A kit, but was hoping to keep my US Naval Training fleet in one scale. Nachtwulf
Dutch, My Dad flew U-21's in Vietnam. Unfortunately, there is no 1/48 kit. I have not even seen a civil version that could be converted. and I've had my feelers out for 30 plus years. Regards, Dale
DonSS3
A King Air has been on my wants list for a couple of decades, too. Ever since flying on a C-12 from NAS Brunswick to NAS Norfolk, I've been wanting one.
Dutch
Don, The T-44 is the Beachcraft C-90 King Air (basic version w/ low tail). The C-12 is based on the Beechcraft 200/300 King Air (stretched w/ T-tail). FYI. R/ Dutch
DonSS3
Thanks, Dutch, I forgot to account for the Beechcraft model differences. I'd be happy with a C90 version, too. 🙂
