Flankerman
Another great museum of Russian/Soviet aircraft is the 'Oleg Antonov State Aviation Museum' at Zhulaniy, Kiev. I've been a few times in previous years, but visited again in early August 2018 to see the latest exhibit - the Antonov An-71 'Madcap' AWACS aircraft recently moved in from Gostomel.... Other exhibits include..... Yak-40, Il-76 and Il-86... Mil Mi-1 - still in Russian markings!......... ....as is the Mi-6 The world's largest single-engined biplane.... the An-2 'Anushka' Tu-142 Bear ASW aircraft.... Zhulaniy has examples of all three Tupolev Backfire variants - the Tu-22M0 prototype, the Tu-22M2 and Tu-22M3........ Yak-38M VTOL .... MiG-25 .......... Yak-28U.... Kamov Ka-26 co-axial helicopter.... Su-15TM.... Experimental Antonov ducted wing design.... View from the entrance.... Images from a visit in 2010 are here.... http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/ukraine2010_day03.html (scroll down).... and here ..... http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/ukraine2010_day06.html Enjoy... Helmsman
Ken, The "Mi-2" is actually Mi-1. Fat fingers I guess... Nice to see they preserved all these aircraft despite recent demise of relationships with Russia. Edited September 17, 2018 by Helmsman
Flankerman
The brain said 'Mi-1' - but the fingers typed 'Mi-2' Now corrected. Ken

Flankerman
Apparently it is a 'Channel Wing' design - according to Wiki :- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handiwork_181 Ken
