rom
Hello Here are some pictures of my Kinetic Su-33 built in 2016 for french Cocardes Magazine issue n°5. The build took me around 7 months, as I spent a lot of time on painting and decaling. Weathering is subtle as I wanted to depict a quite clean and bright rendering. I chose to set a full load as seen on some pictures on the ground, but it is not that common. I found the kit quite good. Just had a trouble on the nose fit. The most annoying was the poor instructions... Not easy to understand and succession of building step are quite disturbing. Fortunately, Kinetic shared updated instructions here: http://www.kineticmodel.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=64&search=48062 While no seatbelts were given in the box, I replaced the seat with Aires resin one. Pitot is from master. Decals from Begemot (Su-33 and flanker stencils) As some pylons are missing in the box, I added those from Eduard brassin. And More R-27 missile come from GWH Fulcrum. Comments and question welcomed! Romain

Janissary
Incredible model, as usually is the case with your builds. The amount of little details you paid attention to is enormous and expertly painted.

EagleAviation
May I ask what brand of paints have you used?
LyIgor
Romain, what paints are used? (already ahead of the question:) ) Cheers! Igor. Edited September 24, 2018 by LyIgor
Mstor
Excellent! I'm working on Bort Red 80 right now. I hope it will turn out half as good as yours. Well done sir!
rom
Thanks! As for the colors I used Gunze paints. Light blue: H45+H308+X2 Middle blue: H45+H5 Dark blue: H328+H45+ a drop of emerald green But after demasking, the colour balance was not that great. So each color was filtered using heavy thinned acrylic shades of blue, with slow drying solution. In that way i managed to correct the colors. I Guess there are other gunze blue paints more suitable If you dont want to bother with complicated mixes, you should try Mr Paint su33 colors. Cheers

EagleAviation
Accurate, reliable, very strong and the finest spray. Very thin you can spray them almost directly from the bottle.
ViperZero
Bellissimo! Romain, hai fatto un ottimo lavoro su questa bestia, al tempo avevo anche acquistato il n ° 5 della rivista Cocardes da usare come riferimento for when I make mine. It is a plain grey color and, as you can see with the AKAN version, it should be a light blue grey. So I am using the AKAN color instead of 201. 199 and 200 are close enough for me.
