foxmulder_ms
I was looking for new file, saw the tamiya ones. They are more than $30. Do they worth the price, anyone used them? Are they really long lasting? Can anyone suggest a similar one without the brand name so will be cheaper?
denstore
I have some of them, and they are nice. But probably not worth the price. But I like their diamond file for photo etch very much.
viper730
If you mean the Plastic Model Files. They are Fantastic. I bought from Amazon so they were around 14.00/16.00. Just a word or 2 on them. They leave very little file marks. Most times just a quick follow up with say 1500/2000 grit is all you need. All in all I am VERY Pleased. if you can find them at a good price I say buy them... The one I was mentioning was this: https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Tools-Pro-File-Width/dp/B005M0ZQWA/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1539538128&sr=8-9&keywords=tamiya+file But you are still right, they are cheaper! dnl42
Here are some excellent Swiss-pattern Grobet needle files in 0, 2, 4, and 6 cut. The 0 cut are quite aggressive on plastic, while the 6 cut will polish plastic.
Tgoetz
Could not agree with dnl42 more. I finally picked up some of these and they are amazing. I was most interested in how crisp the corners would be when trying to clean up a 90 degree angle cut. I was not disappointed. They are not cheap, but would say well worth the cost.
