Darren Roberts
I started a Hasegawa F-86 for a customer and wondered if I had done something wrong. This thing has fought me the whole way. During dry fitting, it looked like it was going to go together quite nicely. But then when I had all the internal parts glued in, it didn't fit quite as well. I double checked and interior parts are all placed correctly. I worked with that, but then when I put on the nose/intake lip, it didn't fit all. I'm having to do some judicious sanding to get rid of the gap. Is it me or kit?
phantom
Could have been warped. Never had an issue with the 1/48 or 1/32 Hasegawa Sabre, unless adding an after market cockpit.
airmechaja
Built several. Never had a problem with fit. I think phantom has it correct.
AX 365
Sorry Darren. No offence intended but it must be a 'user error'. I've built about 25 of them and I've had no issues whatsoever. Mike
Darren Roberts
User error it is. It was the weirdest thing. The fuselage halves are aligned like they should be, but the intake lip is bigger than the fuselage at the join as has a step. A sanding stick has taken care of it.
