ReccePhreak
I have used enamels all my life, with just a few different brands of acrylics in the past few months. Since I mainly still brush paint (Especially details), I want to know which brush cleaners work best on Model Master Acrylics. Considering the cost of Testors Acrylic Thinner, I will use it to thin their paint, but I would hate to use it to clean my brushes. I know the Mr Color Acrylics I have are not water based, but acrylic lacquers, so I use a big can of generic lacquer thinner to clean my brushes after using that brand. Would that also work with Testors Model Master Acrylics to clean my brushes? Larry Edited October 24, 2018 by ReccePhreak Rephrased
camus27
I've only ever used water with Testors Acrylic.

camus27
Yes, that's all I use. If you want to be se a stronger cleaner, Windex also works well. I usually use that through the airbrush after spraying acryl.

You can just use plain tap water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. You can also use isopropyl alcohol to clean your brushes.

dnl42
I use Windsor & Newton Brush Cleaner & Restorer to clean my brushes. It does an amazing job, even after you thought you already cleaned your brushes well using some other solvent. Be aware though, it's deadly to any plastic, including plastic brush handles.
