dnl42 Posted October 28, 2018 Share Posted October 28, 2018 I've got a Minicraft 1/144 TBF/TBM from '93 that I think would be a good basis for a small diorama of a damaged TBF/TBM in flight, like the TBM-3 from VT-82 below. Don Posted October 28, 2018 Share Posted October 28, 2018 The Avenger 11bee posted was the only VT-8 Battle of Midway survivor of the six that took part in the battle. I read a long while ago that the tarp was partially used to help cover up the rather gruesome interior where the gunner was killed and where each crewman received wounds. There is another picture of this aircraft taken from the other side.
