Spectre711
Even though I did brakes, struts and shocks on my daughters car I managed a lot of progress on the 109.

Spectre711
I got back to the 109 yesterday with some painting. Been doing a lot of home improvement projects lately so my time has been limited. Edited January 8, 2019 by Spectre711
Spectre711
So, do you think the red unit band on the fuselage is RLM 23?
phantom
No idea, but the paint job and build look real nice and smooth!
Spectre711
Thanks, It's actually MM acrylic thined with Tamiya lacquer thinner and shot at about 18 psi through a old Badger 200. I didnt have any RLM76 so I used aircraft gray since it looks close. The acrylic works much better than their gloss enamel that tends to stay tacky for a while. Spectre711
After some cobbling and improvising I have some decals on the 109.
phantom
Very clean.
Kurt H.
This one came together quickly. I seem to have missed this one. Now you are in the home stretch, this model looks good.

Spectre711
Done! Edited January 29, 2019 by Spectre711
phantom
Very neat, looks like a modern paint scheme on a 40s fighter!
Spectre711
RLM 76 is very close to FS 16473 Aircraft Gray and use either one depending on which I have. Late in WWII some 109s were painted all RLM 76 as a night fighter or high altitude fighter scheme.
