Lupusprimus
You don't have to have it. This is the same for all RC Scalers. Flying like a raw egg! Works mostly well. I've also had a few air accidents with my models. Everything can be repaired.
Lupusprimus
The supports and struts are glued to the tailplane. Of course it is better to do this on the carcass without paint. The rear (3D printed) bracing was too short, had to be replaced by a carbon rod. This is just prototype construction. In the kit everything is already corrected and fits. The result from the left. Lupusprimus
The whole thing from the top. The angles are right, everything is good.
GeejeeZ
Watching in admiration. Magnificent work!!! Gertjan
Lupusprimus
The last small parts are mounted on the water tank. Here are the missing brackets.
Lupusprimus
The third version of the hose now fits.
Lupusprimus
Also the remaining lines are glued. It's a fiddling with the resin material.
Lupusprimus
At the moment we are busy with the mechanics. It is more difficult than expected. But it flies without any problems. The toolbox was attached to the Skycrane.
Wafu
Looks nice Bernd, hope you’re pleased?
Lupusprimus
Ian, it's the home stretch. The mechanics are also ready to fly (there were some problems), after their installation the last details will be added. On 09. and 10.03.19 you can see my Skycrane at the ROTOR 2019 in Iffezheim! Lupusprimus
The shorter leaves have now acquired colour.
Lupusprimus
A few more details finished. The tail rotor got color. The oil cooler still got the filter as a decal in the back.
Lupusprimus
I imitated the attachments at the front of the engines with a decal. It looks much more professional with Wafu. But our models also serve a different purpose. Here's the other side.
Lupusprimus
The mechanics have flown in. The trainer flew with 640 g take-off weight, the complete Skycrane will reach 600 to 620 g depending on the battery. There are still small problems at the rear, but they can be solved. The final assembly has begun. Here first picture:
Wafu
Looking very good, you must be pleased?
Lupusprimus
Ian, the "good" pictures come later. Yes, I am happy about the result, also that it is finished and will fly. Without your suggestion I would have built this model if not never, then at least much later. Thanks for that. It has become a piece of jewellery.
midnightprowler
I hope you will post a video of it flying.
Lupusprimus
I would like to post much more flight pictures and videos. But I always need others who can do that! I am a model builder, I can fly my helicopters. But in both areas (photo + video) I am not good.
Lupusprimus
The handles are attached. Only here errors are noticed, which are corrected again. So change the drawing and print it again.
Lupusprimus
The missing supports are attached to the engines and the housing.
