jrpowell3
So, I just took a new job which will bring me home to NC. I'll be in the triangle area. What are some good LHS's in the area?
Tank
Welcome back home. ☹️ not really any good hobby stores. We have a hobby lobby (Raleigh), Hanger 18 (Cary) and RC Hobby (Fuquay Varina) can help with the smaller needs paint etc. Most folks trade or order online. Hayes Hobby in Fayetteville is good but about 1.5 hr south. We have a good imps club http://www.ipmseaglesquadron.org and we have an AMPS club as well that just started up. jrpowell3
I guess Amazon is gonna be my goto for kits and the Mission Models Paint that I've fallen in love with, after the move, then. I've been spoiled with a few pretty good hobby shops here in Los Angeles, while I've been here. Edited December 12, 2018 by jrpowell3
mike_45
So I too also just moved to North Carolina, but to Wilmington. There is nothing here hobby wise except a Michaels and a Hobby Lobby. Back home I have one of the best LHS in Kings Hobby. I did find that Hayes Hobby House and Hobbit Hobby shop are well worth the visit. They are two hours away from me and as Tank says above about an hour/hour and a half from RDU.
jrpowell3
Fayetteville was a little far from where I grew up so I never really went there. But if Hayes Hobby House is as good as they say it may warrant a visit.
