Drifterdon
Is anyone aware of aftermarket props for 1/144 L-1049/C-121 Constellation? Would like to replace the crappy props that come in the Minicraft 1/144 Constellation. Doesn't matter the variant, they all come with same poor props.
Snowbird3a
Aeroclub W-026, but since they're OOP, gonna be hard to find. Joe's Models has a lot of Aeroclub; http://www.joesmodels.com/AEROCLUB_144_ ACCESSORIES.htm Cheers, Tony

thegoodsgt
What is the issue with the kit props? TIA
Drifterdon
53 minutes ago, thegoodsgt said: What is the issue with the kit props? TIA They are very flimsy and break off easily from the prop spinner. They are also just flat paddles and don't represent the real things. Compare photos of real thing with builds found in gallery for Minicraft.

Dutch
Don, what about those 1/144 C-119L props from BestFong? The originals were said to have come from C-121 Connies. R/ Dutch
Drifterdon
I thought about those Dutch but they have cuffs and the props on the Connies I'm building don't. I'll probably just make do with the kit props.
Dutch
True, Connie H-S props were uncuffed and the C-E props were cuffed. Probably not worth the effort to convert cuffed to uncuffed in this scale. You could always cut the blades off and replace them with a clear disk of appropriate diameter and whisk paint the outer edge yellow at 120 deg intervals.
Drifterdon
Hey Dutch. I can't even find those props anymore. You have a link to them?
Dutch
It was under the C-119 topic in Caracal sub-forum. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/300512-c-119-72049/ Edited January 9, 2019 by Dutch

Pity cause I need two sets of these props for an C-121A conversion I started. Update - Just found them on the Bay. It helps if you use the correct search parameters. Doh!! Dutch
Brother Don, I just found C-E cuffed Connie props on Shaeways 3D printing site for ~$8.50. Still looking for H-S props. R/ Dutch
