Hi Zac,

Saw that, there is a thread on it over on LSP.   Supposedly it looks like HB might have botched the nacelles.  Hopefully not the case but we'll see when the kit gets released!

Farmgate pictures are somewhat hard to find. Seen a few, but not many. Did they remove the turrets?

Gary

Yes they did.

Very comprehensive review of this kit here:

https://www.themodellingnews.com/2019/11/dry-fit-review-48th-scale-douglas-b-26b.html#more

Looks to be a winner but still has a few issues (turrets, missing panel lines in some areas and the window on the gunner's door) that will result in extra work.   It's amusing that in some areas, the ancient Monogram kit comes up ahead.

Is the window for the rear gunners station the wrong size/orientation?

Shouldn't the window be vertical, not horizontal?

That door is on a restored warbird and has no relationship to reality.  It was first and foremost a location for a camera and appears primarily on the C glass nose version. There were pictures noting it on Hyperscale discussion. That online review is full of factual errors.

In regards the windows in the rear access door, there are pictures of Invaders with windows like those molded in the kit found in the Warbird Tech book on the A-26 as well as in the Squadron book. But it does seem that there are different variations/configurations for these windows (or no windows at all) depending on specific aircraft. Looks like a nice kit that's on my list of "wants".

Happy modeling all!

Looking at the C-50 release sprues over at Scalehobbyist, it looks like we may finally be getting the long missing belly panel for deleting the lower turret.  The trapezoidal panel on the new sprue with the rockets looks like it, and since you get two of those sprues, you have a spare for another kit.  Most Korean War B-26s had the lower turret deleted, including most of the decal options in the B-50 kit.

Now if they would only give us the slotted gun turret cover.

Got the C-50 kit.  It’s interesting that the lower turret cover plate is marked not for use in this kit, which make you wonder what they intended to use it on.  A nice surprise is that the 8 gun nose parts are still in the kit, so you can make the gunship version.

The 8 gun nose is in every boxing, it’s on the primary sprues.  This is a good thing (sorta) as those parts don’t fit very well.  It took me a couple attempts to get one nice enough for NMF.  I wish they had molded it as a single part like the 6 gun nose.

Also, both cockpit canopy types are included in every boxing.
