Given the recent Hobbico bankruptcy and lack of any news of a US distributor I wonder if we will see anything from Revell Germany.  I don’t know if this anniversary is as big a deal in Europe as in the US. At least from a marketing POV.

Dragon listed some updated releases many months ago but I have not seen them for sale anywhere.

Saw the Revell 2019 release list somewhere, maybe Britmodeller?, and it looked like they were repoping most of the classic Apollo kits for the anniversary.

this one?  If so, good news !

Estes just came out with a 50th anniversary version of the Apollo Saturn V in 1/100 scale and they tweaked it a fair amount to probably make it the easiest building Saturn V kit ever... and also more accurate than ever. The big improvement... the SLA is now a nicely detailed blow molded cone. No need to do a paper transition wrap anymore.

For all space nerds 2019 will mark the 50th anniversary of man's first landing on the Moon. On this occasion I have decided to provide you with the most detailled 1/48 model of the Lunar Module where there is no need for any augmentation kit. It is available on Shapeways (https://www.shapeways.com/shops/spacemodels…) but also on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3239643) for those having a 3D printer. For the detailled plastic parts I advice to use a resin printer while the white versatile plastic parts can be printed with a more conventional filament printer.

All instructions are on my web site (http://spacemodels.nuxit.net/1-48-LM/index.html). I just received the first printed parts so the pictures on the web site are based on my 1/32 model. If you feel 1/48 is too small you still have the possibility to build a 1/32 or 1/24 before July 2019 (see http://spacemodels.nuxit.net/1-32%20LM/index.htm).

Happy modeliing in 2019. I also enclosed some pictures to compare this new kit with the Revell and Monogram one.

Vincent ... this 1/48 is Gor-gee-ous!! ... I've built and repaired the Airfix, Revell and Monogram LM's ... and still have one or two more in my stash, but this one of yours is flawless!

And the layout of the  parts is genius!

You did a brilliant job on this kit!

Pete

Estes is also releasing a new 1/200 Saturn V, painted, assembled and ready-to-fly.

Other than that preview, I can't find anything else about this, not even at the Estes website.

My 1/100 Saturn V arrived today.  Good news, the new plastic parts look great and they included a Revell 1/100 LM model. Bad news, one of the S-IC F1 fairings got crushed in shipping, creasing the plastic.

Lunokhod 2,  What a fantastic and generous offer sharing them files for that Lunar Module for all mankind to use. It's a very cool subject that unfortunately no OOB kit has been able to nail. I think you just made a lot of people very happy with your contribution. Well done Sir!

Try back filling the fairing in two part epoxy putty. I  did that with my S-IVB fairings  as I wanted some structural support to them during building and in case I have to fix any issues with them. Fill it enough and you can sand and reprofile the fairing without as much fear of knocking into an open hole.

I'd be contacting Estes and explaining what has happened. Tell them that the model is for static display rather than flight. Would hope they would send out a replacement part and if not you have nothing to loose asking.  I've had missing kit parts supplied to me by the manufacturer in the past so would guess that damaged items would be the same sort of thing hopefully?
