Greenghost
And at what ratio do you use it and what thinner do you recommend? Thank you
dnl42
I use Microscale Industries Micro Flat and Micro Satin for flat and semi-gloss, respectively. I use Mr Color Clear C46 or Tamiya Clear X-22 for gloss. I always thin to a 1% milk consistency; water for Micro Flat and Micro Satin, Mr Leveling Thinner for Mr Color, and Tamiya Thinner for Tamiya. Thank you I always use Model Master Acryl thinner. Probably 25% thinner or less. I don't measure it so I am guessing.
Kurt H.
I really like Testors Dullcote lacquer for a flat finish. If I want a less flat but not semi gloss finish, I use Mr. Leveling thinner to thin it, and just eyeball it until the mixture seems "right" ... I know that is not precise or helpful, but I just kind of got a feel for it. Model Master also has a lacquer semi gloss, which works well. The testors Acryl semigloss is also a very good semigloss finish. I have not used any others for a long time, I have had consistent, repeatable results with the Testors / model master products, I have not felt the need to try other products. dnl42
The bottled Model Master flat, semi-gloss, and gloss lacquers do indeed work well. Also never had problems with them.

If you do have flow issues, add a few drops of the Acryl thinner. Vern
