F-16
Has anyone used a Micro-Mark 2 or 4mm Plastic Modeler's Chisel?Micro-Mark 4mm plastic modeler's Chisel How well does the tool work? Problems? Good? Bad? Any info on this tool would be helpful. Scott CNJC-IPMS
dnl42
I have that tool, and I like it a lot! With a little practice, you can remove all manner of molded on detail without harming the surface. Think of it as a plane, but without the sole plate. It can be resharpened, too. I've probably used it on every model I've built since I got it. Edited February 15, 2019 by dnl42 Added picture...
is it windy yet?
I love mine. It has enough heft behind it without having push it hard to work. While the lighter chisels need more force behind them, and can slip and gouge.
Doppelgänger
I've got it as well, the 2mm one, and it's a great tool which I combine with the Mission Models 1mm Micro Chisel for removing unwanted detail on my kits, i.e., I removed the raised panel lines on the Monogram 1/48 F4F Wildcat kit without removing the raised rivets. Excellent tool; considering buying another one. Cheers, Onigiri
