HistnScale Posted March 23, 2019 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Curtis built P-47s had the cockpits painted "interior green." The Curtis produced aircraft were retained by training command because of quality control issues. All Republic built P-47s through the 'N' model had dull dark green cockpits. Colourcoats DDG is a dead match to the DDG color sample that I have. BTW, interior green is also known as "tinted zinc cromate," some publications will refer to the color as just cromate which has caused confusion.
