crackerjazz
Cool stuff at the Heritagecon 2019. Pete, Rob (Ret) and Ricardo's beautiful models....plus some cool jets that I saw. I could've taken more shots but my battery ran down and I forgot my backup camera at home. Or I should at least have brought a charger : ( I knew I should've brought our house along... K2Pete
WOW ... those are nice, heck SUPERB ... pix CJ! I got a 3rd, Ret got a 2nd for his perfect Apollo 7 CSM. The Mylar stripes on the CSM were the most well done I've seen! Ricardo got 1st for his excellent Voyager! That Phantom was my fave too ... 1/32 and so-o-o well done! It was terrific to see you guys there and ... this show was HUGE! Thanx CJ for these lovely pix ... too bad you left early we coulda got a group shot! Pete
ApolloMan
Well done guys, well deserved. Fantastic models of our great subject 😀
Ret
Excellent photos CJ! Thanks for documenting - it was a really fun show and always great to see you, Pete and Ricardo. Extra fun 'cause we all took home some medals! It's really nice to be able to spend some time up close to the models - and discuss with the artist the actual build - I'm constantly learning new things and amazed at the talent that works in this field. Congrats all round! -ret
Ricardo Salamé
CJ thanks for the pictures!!! I still have mines in my camera cards. It was a good show. I would like to know who do the Tiangong, I have a few questions about that model. It was a pleasure to see again Rob and Pete and talk about real space modeling. i appreciated the effort that Pete make to show to everyone what we get in the box and how it can be transformed in a good representation of the real spacecraft. I hope to see you all in the Torcan.
Ret
Hey Ricardo - the Shenzhou-Tiangong was mine. Had a lot of fun building it, but a few challenges along the way. Seemed to peak a few people's curiosity though. I agree with you about seeing Pete's work - amazing what can be done with some imagination, inginuity and hard work! It was great to see you too - and loved seeing and hearing about your build of the Voyager 2 - excellent piece. Looking forward to seeing your photos when you gat a chance - all the best, - ret
crackerjazz
Wow, congratulations, guys! Your models were all fantastic! : ) Hey, I didn't know that was yours, Ret. I wish the models had the builders' names on them. Love the detail and those cool solar arrays!
Ret
Thanks CJ - they were done by me in photoshop - I couldn't get a good working solar panel with the ones the kit provided - the kit ones are a bit clunky and I didn't get the decals to work properly - so improvised myself. It was great showing with Pete and Ricardo - world class guys! When are you going to bring your stuff in person CJ? I was looking over your old thread of your 1/10 LM and blown away by it - you are a detail master!
crackerjazz
Wow, they were your own -- really beautiful work! If I get to finish the LLRV this year I'll surely bring it to Heritagecon 2020. The 1/10 LM --- thanks, but I've balled up the project, unfortunately : ) It was too large and unwieldy.
aircommando130
Some super nice space models! Can't get enough of the early space program...Mercury...Gemini and Apollo. The moon walker is super cool as well. And yes...the Phantom II...absolutely got to love that kerosene burner!! Cheers...Ron
