Gbtr6
Hi everyone. I have lurked here for the last 3 years as I have been working on the Academy CH-53 E Super Stallion for my son-in-law who flies them. He and our daughter live in Annapolis, but he is in the reserves out of a New Jersey base. This is my first helicopter as I usually do cars, 1/43 to 1/12 scale. My first attempt at weathering, and many firsts in building technique. I have learned a lot from the build posts here. I am bringing it to him in April when we go for a visit. I only hope the cat doesn’t knock it off the shelf. Thanks for the help from this forum. Perry Edited March 30, 2019 by Gbtr6
Wafu
Looks really great Perry, I’m sure it will be very well received by your son-in-law. Its to a great lump even in 1/48th. Well done sir.
Gbtr6
Thank you. Pictures aren’t the greatest. I enjoyed the build. Great kit. He owes me a bourbon. Perry
Collin
Plenty of places in Annapolis to throw back a bourbon and swap stories about your build. Nice job on the kit and appreciate your son-in-laws service in the Iron Horse (and all those grunts appreciate the rides). Cheers Collin

This is on my wish list of kits to build, or the MH version, since I haven't built any kit in more than thirty years, I won't even attempt this until I feel confident (and am not broke), just hope those point meet at the same time. My bet, the century will end before that happens, until then, I will just have to admire yours! Cheers!

I’d like to do another helicopter some day. Perry

Would be awesome to see a group build, have a fleet of these for a show, there would not be room for anything else! Anthony
