It appears NACA used only the fuselage cocardes.
KursadA
Almost done - I will finish this tonight and post drafts immediately. I was able to fit 9 options on the sheet; with several ANG options (DC, MD, CA, PA), the NACA aircraft that I mentioned, "Ah'm Available", one Tyndall training bird, etc. I hope you will like it. But it was almost double the cost of buying direct. I am not in any real rush. I just don’t want it to get lost in the mail. Sean

Ed Nirel
Another kit ordered based on Caracal decals. Looking forward to it.
KursadA
Almost there - preorders will be enabled next week.
Slartibartfast
I sure hope the kit decals are viable. Gotta have me a Tex ANG F-51H
KursadA
The kit decals are actually not bad - hence the lack of a Texas option on this sheet. Maybe another time.
Paul Boyer
It's a small thing (literally), but the bird on the MD ANG unit badge represents a Baltimore Oriole, which in reality is a BRILLIANT orange and black (with a few spots of white). I know the reproductions shown earlier would be rough translations, but one would think that when they painted them on the aircraft (or applied a "decal") that they probably had orange on there. Space Tiger Hobbes
Any chance of getting this sheet in 1/72 or just the NACA markings on your forthcoming "Aircraft of NASA" sheet? Thanks.
KursadA
I don't have any plans to scale this down to 1/72, sorry. The NACA markings are not relevant to the "Aircraft of NASA-1" sheet which will only cover OV-1, AV-8A and OV-10; but a sheet of NACA/NASA markings is a good idea for a Caracal Models Basics sheet for 2021. Space Tiger Hobbes
Well, dang. I just got the RS Models 1/72 P-51H, which looks to be a pretty decent kit compared to a couple of predecessors. I'm not so worried about the NACA markings, rather the "TEST" and other registries.
Space Tiger Hobbes
Just thinking about your idea for generic markings, in addition to NACA/NASA markings, you might include a good selection of serial numbers, TEST, and other markings to assist with doing the lesser-known planes. NACA/NASA has flown about everything. Might even be worth doing this sheet in 1/144, 1/72 and 1/48 scales.
