Reddog-03
Who makes the best UH-1H kit? In any scale.
HeavyArty
1/48 Kitty Hawk. Box says D, but it can also be built as an H. Pic on boxtop is an H as well. Review: https://modelingmadness.com/scott/viet/previews/kittyhawk/kh80154.htm A few here have built is as well. It has a couple issues, but nothing that is a show stopper. Reddog-03
Heard a lot of good things about Kitty Hawk kits. And if Floyd's involved, it's sure to be quality. Thanks!

Even with our help it is not perfect but a lot closer than any other kit Floyd

Reddog-03
And it even includes decals for the exact bird I wanted to build!

BWDenver
Just an observation, we had a UH-1H with a nose mounted pitot in C 227th 1st Cav at Ft Hood in 74. I think one of the primary external configuration details to spot the "Bell Hotel" was the roof mounted Pitot. VNE for a Hotel with the roof mounted pitot was 120. Nose mounted (like the D's) and it dropped to 110 indicated. I don't think there were any US birds that were D's with a roof mounted tube. Unless I'm wrong, I don't see any pitot on the box are... As an aside we called them Hotels as we spent more than one night sleeping in them in the field. On one particularly miserable night we had 12 people sleeping in the bird.
