southwestforests
Hey cool, discovered a 20 year old bottle of PollyScale metallic green paint still good, fine, actually. The bottle had been purchased in 1990s for use in aft cockpit area of Monogram 1/48 F-15. Sometime between then and 2008 I started a scratchbuild of one of my space fighter designs. And stopped. But painted some on the part in progress - aft fuselage and wings. Found it in a box last month and decided to work on it again. It is so old the liquid glue has turned the white styrene yellow! A part of the weapons bay interior had gone missing so I built a new one, 3 pieces of styrene, those being a strip of sheet, a length of half-round, and a length of rod. Knew the PollyScale paint bottle was in a box in the back bedroom here a decade later and 3 moves after last time it had been used. It is still good! 😁 (and ... of course ... while looking through boxes for something else later in the evening I found the missing part!!! That's it at top edge of image. Ain't that the way life goes.) Edited April 16, 2019 by southwestforests
