airmechaja
How is this kit in terms of ease of building and accuracy for a Wild Weasel?
dehowie
Its pretty decent. realistically no kit in any scale by any manufacturer has ever gotten the canopy/fuselage spine correct with a true omega shape so distinctive on the Thud.. Sad but true but the Trumpetboss 72 and 48th kits are closer than any others...except 144 Platz which are almost there.
JackMan
If you haven't got the Trumpeter kit yet, then you should seriously consider the old 1/72 Monogram F-105G kit. It may not have recessed panel lines, but to me, it can still hold its own against the newer kit. Also, Trumpeter's rivets look like man-holes. Too deep & too many. Paul Boyer
Don't know about the canopy/spine issue, but to me, none of the kits except the poor old Hasegawa got the shape of the nose cone right. Everybody makes it a "cone" when it is an "ogive" - when viewed in profile, the taper of the nose is not a straight line, but a curved line. I prefer the Monogram/Revell 1/72 Thuds. Hajo L.
If I remember correctly the build of the Trumpeter F-105 was a pleasure when I did it about 10 years ago. As for accuracy - I´m no expert, I just liked what I built! HAJO

Kirk Taylor
The vertical fin on all of the Trumpeter/Hobby Boss two seat F-105s is wrong. Doesn't matter which scale you pick. The vertical fin on the F-105F/G has a broader chord than the single seaters. It is also taller. Monogram got this right on their kits.
