Is this the one that was at IPMS Calgary Western Regionals on June 6th? If so even better in person. Great job. There was also a great 1/72 version of the same plane with the only fault being that builder relied on a set of decals printed in the US and the decal maker used the wrong Maple Leafs in the roundels. Two CL52s at one contest was interesting for sure.

I think it is, I saw it there too, I think our IPMS Chapter gave it one of its many awards.

I didn’t realize the builder was from my former stomping grounds, the Cool Pool.

First time poster .  Incredible builds and great examples of Canadian history.  I've got a 1/48 Arrow, CF-100,and CF-101 Voodoo to build to represent 50's and 60's Canadian fighters, what was, what could've been and what we got stuck with.  Can only dream out being able to reach this level of modelling.

Jonwinn...

According to my B-47 books, the aircraft was returned to the USAF in flyable condition. It was, however, taken to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona and eventually scrapped.

The scrapping likely had less to do with any damage than the work it would take to bring it back to operational standard...but I suspect the real reason was Stratojets were nearing the end of their lives, especially older "B" models, as this one was.

Anyway, great build.

I would love to see a completed 1/48 B-47.
