1/48 Revell A-26 Invader Firebomber kit ?.

Recommended Posts

Probably depend on time schedule? But difficult to say without more details on group, squadron and plane in question.

These are the instructions for the latest release, the fire bomber version is essentially the same kit but different decals.

Edit:
Looking at Scalemates, it appears that there were 2 different serials that carried the same nose art through time, hence the reason why one has 6 and the other 8 guns;

Googled a bit, and found this;

"Hey everyone, just some background details. Both of these shots of "Versatile Lady" are indeed the same plane. She was also called Old Able due to her tail letter of A. She served with the 13th Bomb Squadron, 3rd Bomb Group in Korea. The first image is an older image. The lady from that art was inspired by a pack of playing cards from the base commissary. When the plane was repaired and repainted at Miho AB a Japanese artist redid the artwork based on an Esquire Magazine calendar. Her serial number was 44-34287. (434287 on the tail, BC-287 on the fuselage)."

The photos to be found online shows 8-gun nose, while the restored A-26 carries only 6 guns. So the restored version is not accurate.
