True, has the AIM-120's range increased through it's generational improvements though its size hasn't increased? I guess its mostly done through motor and fuel advancements. If you believe what you read on the net, the -260 is supposed to have ~ double the range of the latest AMRAMM, so that's a major advancement in propulsion (maybe coupled with a smaller, more advance warhead).
